When to start buying baby stuff?

Hi, all! I'm 7w1d and I'm really excited to start buying all the things for my lil shrimp. My question is, how early is too early? When should I start buying things? What should I start buying first? Thanks!

I started properly at 20 weeks as some things you need to order in but only the bigger stuff/essentials the rest I waited til shower

But if you want to go on a shopping spree you go girl

I didn't start buying things for my baby until I got into my second tri. Then we found out it was a girl at 15 weeks and my husband and I immediately went clothes shopping for her and picking up a few things here and there.

We just started and I'm about 17 weeks. Once the risk of miscarriage goes to about 1% (at 12 weeks), I told everyone and waited a while to buy because of not knowing gender til 14 weeks. Its however you wanna do it, no time limit.

I waited until after my baby shower. I got so many new born clothes I don't have to buy ANY. My daughter might not even have enough time to wear all the outfits. I was also gifted a high chair, traveling system, play mat and a rocker. I really didn't have to buy anything haha

You could start diapers right away though. If you end up having leftovers of any size, you can always go back and exchange to a bigger size regardless if you have the receipt or not as long as the box is unopened.

Buy whenever you please! Don't listen to the nay-sayers. It's your life and there is no right answer. With my first, I started with some outfits.

I would not wait until after your shower. You don't know what anyone is actually going to get you and if you need to buy some big ticket items you won't have a whole lot of time to get them if you wait too long. If you do want to wait until after your shower, at least have a good amount saved up so you can run out and make last minute purchases.

It's totally up to you. I started buying stuff at 8 weeks. We bought the crib then, and by 10 weeks had the dresser and glider. Once we knew the gender at 20 weeks we started doing wall decor and bacislly had the nursery done by like 25 weeks.

I went and started straight after my 20week scan because every always scared me saying it's bad luck before then 😩 but It didn't stop me picking everything out before that..,do it when you feel ready x
