Injectables and IUI?

Can anyone give me some info??? If I don't get my BFP this month with my 2nd IUI my doctor said he wants to go more aggressive with injections. How many days? Do they hurt? Don't know much about them and hopefully it won't go to that point! TIA

I was completely terrified when I was prescribed injections for the first time.  It's not so bad though.  If you go slow you barely feel the needle at all.  Trust me this is coming from someone with a HUGE needle phobia.  If I can do it anyone can.  Pinch your skin line up the needle and slowly insert it.  You will be just fine I promise. 😉

I was prescribed menopur for a stimulated IUI cycle that was canceled after 7 days of stims because I produced too many follicles. So FYI there is that risk and an increased risk of high order multiples. We decided to just go to ivf since the success rate is much higher than IUI.

What type of injection are you talking about? A trigger shot or something to make you hyper ovulate?

I just did IVF stims so either the same or slightly more than what you'll be doing. It wasn't awesome, but if this is what gets us our little critter(s), then it's all worth it!
