Are we supposed to receive gifts for mothers day?

Even if it's part of the day off? This was my first mother's day..I do everything for our 5 month old..especially breastfeed which is a job in itself..I never ask for his help..being he is the one who works...I'm not materialistic but idk I expected to feel appreciated

I don't ever expect something from my spouse since I'm not his mother. However if he wanted to help our daughter with a craft I think that would be adorable. :) some day she will want to go to the store with daddy to pick something out which will be much more special than him buying me some material item. 💜

I got nothing from my SO he didn't even make me feel special. He spent the day doing his own thing but he didn't make a point to run out first thing in the morning to run out and get his mom flowers and a card. I was not impressed

My husband me a few things.  The cutest thing being matching shirt and onesie. He also labeled everything to: mom from: remy (our son's name)
