Cholestasis Mamas here??

Question

Anyone have cholestasis in a previous pregnancy? Need to know if it's common to come back around in another pregnancy! 👍🏻 for those who don't know, cholestasis is an issue with your bile acid levels, you overproduce and it makes it unsafe for baby, they like to deliver at 36 weeks now. It comes with an unbearable itching of the whole body.

My mom had Cholestasis with 2 of her 7 pregnancies, I'm not sure what all her remedies were for it, but I remember it being awful. Best of luck to all of the itchy chicks!

I had it with my last son he was born 3 wks early this past October. He's perfect though. And I'm currently pregnant with baby number 4 and I have already been diagnosed with it. They told me once you get it with one pregnancy then you will more than likely have it with another pregnancy

I had it too. My doctor said more than likely it'll come back during this pregnancy. She said as soon as he itching begins, we will schedule the induction and get me on medication to control the itching. Had my daughter December 2015 and this one will be in December 2017.

I did! My last pregnancy was AWFUL! We delivered at 35 weeks. Baby was 100% fine by to all the steroid shots I got to help with lung development! I wish and hope its not as bad as last time!

My dr said that there is a 50% chance of it coming back. As long as you still have your gallbladder.
