Daith piercings ... piercings in general ?¿

Question

So I've heard that the daith peircing helps migraines because of the pressure point it punctures. I have migraines .. I'm not joking when I say that. I get migraines every day. Most of them last from 2 hours up to 8 hours. It's terrible and they are so so painful. My friend got her daith pierced and told me I should try it. I don't know if it's worth the pain of the piercing tho???? Do any other piercings help with other things? I know I probably sound stupid but I just need some real peoples opinions, and here's a picture of a daith peircing in case some of you don't know which spot it's in.

As a licensed tattoo artist & piercer I recommend. I've done so many of these! Literally not one person came to get it bc it was cute they all wanted it to relieve headaches/migraines. I'd say 8/10 it helped. As for the pain the clamps are going to be what hurts the most, it'll all be over in 2 seconds!

I got a daith piercing about four months ago and I love it aesthetically! I don't have migraines so I can't tell you if it really helps but there is evidence backing it up due to the spot being a pressure point. As for the pain, I was quite shocked when it was done because I thought it would hurt more than helix, but really my helix piercings hurt more. My nose piercing hurt the most, so if you have either a helix or nose you can use that for pain reference. As for the aftercare, it is a little tricky cleaning the inner end of the jewelry and it hurts a little the first few days but I was able to clean it pain free after the first week and it's not difficult to maintain. I get constant bumps on my helix piercings that stay for days and i have yet to get one on my daith. Due to it being inside the ear, it's more protected from being snagged and other damage. Just have to be sure to clean it daily with some saline solution and a cutip to remove any possible bacteria build up within the folds of the ear where it's placed.

I know it doesn't work for everybody, but I just got mine done a couple weeks ago and I just say I LOVE mine! Totally took care of my migraines that I've had for years. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I diddnt even know that worked I get really bad migraine that last up to about 14 hours and I feel like 💩 after them if it works u souls deff get it babe I would deff if I could 💗😭

I get chronic migraines bc it runs in my family, so when I heard about this a few weeks ago I flipped!! I've been really thinking about it but I'm just as scared as you are and don't know if it would even be worth it, so crossing my fingers that someone on this app actually has one and can tell us 😂🤞🏻

My best friend got really bad headache she had hers pierced and she hasn't had one since. Try it! You can always take it out.

I have dealt with migraines for almost 10 yrs now. I would get 2-3 migraines a weeks. I got the daith done in October, and have had maybe 2 since I got it done. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I guess there is a whole ancient way of relieving pain/ problems. Chinese linked nerves to our face and feet and pin pointed where to push to relieve these problems. On the other hand, Chinese pin pointed the nerves from our ears. I have heard of piercings releasing the pain, not sure if it works though. I've been told to release migraine pain to push where the daith piercing is, and your ear lobes.
