bfs parents sketchy

So they are super nice to me I just always had this vibe that they were a little sleezy. I'm dating my bf not them so I just brushed it aside and am polite. The other day my bf told me how his parents aren't paying people money for doing work at their business ect. I feel like there's more to this that will come out. But did anyone else experience this and turn out to be right. I'm keeping my mouth shut and all but I always felt something was off.
