progesterone and ovulation!?

Okay so my doctor prescribed me progesterone a few weeks ago to get my period to start. (My cycle is normally 55 days and we're trying to make it 30) now after taking the progesterone my period started, but now I'm on cycle day 15 and I still haven't ovulated. My question is can taking progesterone to start your period make you not ovulate the next month? I'm beginning to worry because I normally ovulate on cycle day 7. Anything helps :) thank you

I took progesterone to try to induce a bleed but didn't work :(

Progesterone isn't going to make you ovulate. You need something like clomid to stimulate ovulation.

I took progesterone for 10 days. And then saw my doctor two weeks after I started the pills. And he put me on letrozole for 5 days to try and get me to ovulate. Didn't get a positive opk during the entire time (also not a diligent tester) and now I'm just waiting for my next doctors appointment because I have no idea if I'm going to have a regular period start or when my next period might be starting to know when to test.
