Femara, metform and pcos?

Question

I am 26 and ttc for the past 3 years. On metform for the past 2 months and starting out with femara. Anyone have any with with it? I'm too scared to do iui and ivf.

I have PCOS and took femara, I guess I didn't need metformin. I had a chemical pregnancy my 2nd cycle, and on my 4th cycle got pregnant with twins....I'm currently 8.5 weeks ;) good luck!!!

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one suffering with PCOS! I have been TTC for over a year and it is heartbreaking... I am new to this app and ya'll seem to be a very supportive group. I have been on Metformin 1000mg 2X a day for about 10 months. I am about to start my 5th round of Clomid 150mg. I started progesterone today to start my period. Ya'll please wish me luck on this cycle! I don't know if I can take the heartbreak of getting another negative pregnancy test. I am feeling hopeful about this cycle though!

I was diagnosed with pcos years ago but just started ttc.  Also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes as a result of the pcos.  Started last summer loading weight and taking metformin just trying to produce mature follicles.  My Dr said she didn't think I'd ovulated in years.  In January I finally made my first mature follicle on 5mg of femara and 2500mg of metformin a day.  Currently on cycle 3 and making follicles each time, having crazy regular periods! No pregnancy yet but really feel like everything is moving in the right direction.  Also stopped eating all dairy right before the follicles stared maturing...just a thought! Good luck!!!

I have PCOS. I do not take metformin. I have Crohns Disease and metformin cause me to much gastric upset. This is my first cycle with femara. I found out last month I do not ovulate but have regular-ish periods (cycles are 33-40 days). I go next week for my CD 21 blood work. My last 2 progesterone tests have been <0.26 :-( hoping femara works. My doc is giving me 6 cycles of femara and if that doesnt work I will see a fertility specialist. Good luck!

Im on metformin, I started it a month ago and got my period a week after. This month I havent gotten my period yet so I dont know what to think I have been irregular for 2 years, and honestly my hopes have gone down for trying to conceive. Ive been teying for 9 months and no baby yet. I dont know what to tell u about femara and iui & ivf since i havent tried them yet. Well I wish you good luck.
