What do you use to clean little one for diaper changes?

I always thought that wipes would be what I would use to clean my little guy but we had a midwife come in and she told us the best was just simply using warm water and a cloth or we actually buy like cotton water pads from the store. We don't use anything else and our little guy has never had any rashes at all. We actually are at the point where it doesn't faze him to use cool water either. Our midwife told us there are chemicals they use to preserve the wipes and actually can irritate their skin even more.

I'm curious what you use and why?

We use toxic store bought wipes, but my mom used watered down cotton squares.

My doctor told me exactly the opposite!  I used to always use water and she had almost non stop diaper rash. My doctor told me that the water is to hard for her sensitive skin and to use whipes for sensitive skin. After I started doing that the rash disappeared. I think that it depends of the type of skin your baby has and also how often you have to clean her. I think you are lucky to beeing able to use water it is healthier and also you save a ton of money.

Pampers sensitive wipes on my son, never once had diaper rash. He's 9 months old.

I use fragrance free wipes but not every change. I also use cloth diapers, just didn't feel like dealing with wetting cloth wipes and all that. I used to think it was gross that some people didn't wipe pee diapers but she kept getting rashes from being wiped too much. Now I only wipe her like every 3 changes and with poop diapers and she never has a rash

I use pampers wipes. My son is 5 months and we haven't had a rash either. I've been thinking about switching to water and cloth though, just to save money.

We use the natural care wipes or whatever they're called and our son has only ever diaper rash once (but that was my fault, we were out and about and I couldn't get to a place to change him fast enough.)

I used to use the cotton pads dampened with a little bit of water and coconut oil on them. Works awesome.

We use our own cloth wipes. The solution is 1 cup water, 1 tbsp castille soap (baby), and 1 tbsp oil (grape seed or almond)
