is this normal?

I'm a FTM to a baby boy . When we first brought him home from the hospital we were told to feed him every 3 hours. Now that he's almost 1 month old he wants to eat every hour. I wanted to know if this is normal. If not then is my baby sick? Could something be wrong since he's wanting to eat too much?

He could be having a growth spurt or developmental leap, they tend to eat more during those times.

This is my daughter exactly. I feel like she's eating way too much and I often wonder if she's even actually hungry but she screams for so long I end up giving her a bottle. But she doesn't always finish them. I'm wondering if the formula.is not agreeing with her or if she's colic. I don't remember having this much trouble with my other kids.

He could be going through a growth spurt. If so he will cluster feed to encourage more milk supply. It's normal.
