regret children?

I know this is kind of a fucked up question but I am having a battle with myself about whether I really want kids or not. Does anyone on here regret having kids? If so why?

I used to want kids when I was younger. It was "instilled" in our brains that women are put on this earth to reproduce. But as I grew older, the less I wanted kids of my own. I don't know if it's the detachment I felt from my own mother or the thought of having my own crotch goblins completely disgusts me. Either way I have an IUD that I'm happy with and a partner who is fine with my decision. I'm also in a child-free support group and I don't judge people who have kids of their own.

I was having this battle too and found a childless forum on reditt that gave me an insight on people that have felt that they regret their kids. No judgement.

I will continue to stay child free.

Never in a million years. I became a mom at 19 years old. It was something I always wanted though. I always knew I wanted to be a mother.

I'm sure my mOther regretted having my older brother. He's 42 and a complete a-hole from the minute he was born. Selfish self centered, arrogant just an a-hole that's the nicest way of putting it.

I think it's almost impossible for someone to regret children. Our biological instinct is to reproduce and nurture, which means that when we have a child, we love it no matter what. I think motherhood is a beautiful thing that every woman should experience.

I became a mom at 17. I NEVER wanted kids. But I'm now having twin girls after 2 boys and I don't regret my any of babies at all whatsoever! Being a mom was the best thing to ever happen to me!

Thanks ladies. I'm struggling mainly bc i know my partner doesn't want them.. so I'm just trying to decide what's more important to me.
