Measuring 2 weeks behind? Will lose the baby?

Question

So, I had my first ultrasound today at 8 weeks 1 day. They told me I probably don't have a viable baby. The yolk sac is still visible and very large (big hallow circle). The baby is very small (little white circle to the right of the yolk sac). I measuring 2 weeks behind. There is a heart beat (115 bpm). They told me it's not looking good and probably won't be a viable baby. Has anyone gone through this?  Any positive outcomes?  I'm basically sitting here waiting to miscarry...
UPDATE: I had blood drawn on Friday and Monday. My HCG levels support 6 weeks. My levels did increase between days, but only a little bit and not as much as I'm supposed to. More bad but good news. Ultrasound tomorrow to gauge growth. Fingers crossed!

I was measuring a week and a half behind at my first scan with no HB. Had another yesterday and baby caught up and is right on schedule with a HB now. There's still a heart beat in there so I'd be pretty positive about it!!

Hey I had a scan early because I had some bleeding, I thought I was going to be 8 nearly 9 weeks and they told me at the scan that the size of the baby meant I was 4/5 weeks and there was no heartbeat, I then had a scan 2 weeks later and I was 9 weeks, and baby had a really strong heartbeat. I think sometimes some babies just take time growing in the first few weeks :) I'm sure everything will be okay :) xxx

I had that with my daughter, and I had three miscarriages before her so I was sure that's what was happening again. Turns out everything was fine and I had a healthy baby girl! I'm measuring two weeks behind again, and hoping it's a positive outcome this time as well.

Final Update... I'm sad to say our little embryo did not have a heartbeat at today's ultrasound. Thanks for all the support mamas!

You are probably just early! This is your first ultrasound and there is a heartbeat! You probably just ovulated later than expected! Don't worry until you have to. Think positive!

I am in a similar situation right now. We did clomid and trigger shot so I feel like our dates should be accurate. I should be 8 weeks today based on when my trigger was. We went for our second ultrasound two days ago (our first ultrasound was around 5.5 weeks and just showed he yolk sac) and we saw a heartbeat (only 100bpm) and was measuring about a week behind. My doctor wants us to come back this Friday to make sure the baby is still growing. I'm terrified. It took us so long to get pregnant and now I'm scared we will lose it.

They told me that the reason for measuring behind 2 weeks was because I had irregular periods, so they are going to give me an ultrasound just to measure how far along I really am.
