Anyone planning their own shower?

I'm planning my shower, not by choice. My husband's job brings us to a place with no family but tons of business relationships, acquaintances and friends. But no one who was actually close enough to be in our wedding. My son is a Jr. And our first child together. Anyone have any tips?

I was kind of in your shoes. Organising my own shower. Then our baby came very early . He's ok now, it's been months. But frankly, hardly anyone has bothered to check in on how we're doing. So I can't be assed with a shower. It's a bit hurtful seeing how I've been to so many, even organised games. I think I need new friends!
 
Thankfully our wedding is going to be overseas where my fiancé is from. We're keeping it small and intimate guest-wise. But we're still going all out for dress, vows, speech, music & photography.

I did my first pregnancy but now I'm pregnant again and told my husband I want him n my mom to throw me one n surprise me lol
