Ovulation question!

What is the MOST RELIABLE method of figuring out when you ovulate?? I just started my first month of opks, but i know that just because you have an LH spike, doesn't mean you necessarily ovulate. I've purchased a thermometer but can never remember to take my temp when I wake up 😫. And I also have never produced much cm (we use preseed). What would you say is the best and most reliable way to track ovulation? Thanks in advance ☺️
