My son gets that when he cries or is droopy. If it was an allergic reaction I think his tongue and throat would be swollen as well.

What did he eat in the last couple of days that is different

It does not look like a heat rash. That usually happens around the neck, on the back of the baby.. It may have to do with the fact that they tend to spit more and the saliva and leftover milk tends to do that to their skin around the mouth. My baby had that several times. Now i carefully wash her face almost every time she eats and nothing happened anymore. Hope this helps
