Why is picking a car seat so hard?🤦🏻‍♀️🙈

There is just so much information and safety stuff I just don't even know where to start.. which infant car seat did you buy and why? Im just so lost.🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I love my graco click connect. Don't get so caught up in all the extras. Seats are all safety tested and have to pass the same rules. As long as it is properly installed and baby is properly fastened in then, you're good to go!

Every single seat they sell must pass the safety tests. I like graco brand but Costco is fine too etc....don't throw away good money on extensive seats hun

We got the BoB travel system the car seat is called the B-safe 35. I honestly liked the stroller and they're a little pricey..I didn't want to get a separate infant travel system and then pay more later for a jogger. They have great ratings and a lot of my mommy friends recommend it :)

So! All seats are safe. They all have to meet minimum safety standards. So it's about features. Except a small handful of seats which have added safety features. The only two that actually make a difference are anti rebound leg or bar and Rigid LATCH.

Also consider the weight of the seat (minus the base. That doesn't matter since you won't carry it).

You want to consider the stroller you want, as well. It's really handy to have a car seat that snaps into your stroller. Even if the seat doesn't come with the stroller, most strollers have attachment pieces you can buy to make them work with select seats.

We went with the Nuna Mixx stroller and Nuna Pipa car seat. The Pipa has an anti rebound leg and is one of the lightest seats on the market. I'm very small so that matters to us.

All car seats have to pass the same standards, some companies just go over and above. Do you have a stroller in mind? Some strollers only take certain car seats (with or without adapters). I will be going with Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 and Uppababy Cruz.

They're all safe otherwise they wouldn't pass inspection/sell them. Just get a middle of the road one. You don't need EXTRA padding but don't get one that's all plastic. I used Britax with my first two and am now going to use a Graco Click Connect. Try to pick a lighter weight one, because those things are heavy (to me) without baby, so add 6-9 pounds and BAM, it's heavy. Good luck.
