At what stage should I remove a nipple piercing? I'm 26 weeks

Im 30 wks and so far i took one bcz it was sore and i was thinking it was starting to disappear.
I kept the other one in just to prolong my sexy ☺️☺️. I will take it out eventually bcz im over it now but its not bothering me and i havnt had any leakage yet.

I removed mine with my daughter when I first found out I was pregnant. That was 9 years ago. I had my son almost 8 years ago and tried breastfeeding with him, but in my left breast I had too much scar tissue in my nipple and he could barely get any out. I never put them back in, and I've been leaking out of that breast like crazy this pregnancy so I'm hoping it's finally healed after 9 years enough that I'll be able to breastfeed the baby without issues. I wasn't even able to pump at all last time. And I never leaked out of it either. So I'm hoping it's a good sign that I am now... looking back I wish I never would have pierced them. So much pain for something that stopped me from being able to breastfeed my 1st son and not even have now... but we're all young and dumb at some point!

I am 28+5 weeks and still have mine in. The only reason you need to take them out (or replace them) is if you feel discomfort or if the barbell becomes too short for your nipple and the balls are squeezing your skin, leaving indents. If you develop any kind of puss or infection because of your changing breasts, also take them out and go to a Dr.

I'm planning to keep mine in for the duration of my pregnancy, and even for breastfeeding. There is a lot of controversy over that, but I will be replacing the metal barbells for flexi-bars. It is completely 100% safe. The ONLY complication that could arise, is the baby not getting a proper latch. Which at that point, there are other options.

You can always find larger or longer jewelry at a REPUTIBLE jewelry shop, or even online. Make sure the metal has NO nickel. It should be 100% surgical steel or Titanuim. Flexi-bars are super cheap and you can find them almost anywhere that sells body jewelry. Hope that helps!

You don't have to take them out unless they're not fully healed. You can keep them in. You just have to clean them before and after every feeding and take them out for the duration of the feeding every single time. The jewelry is a choking hazard so its a must to take it out during feedings. If you feel like you can't be responsible with it, I would take them out now and give them time to close up a little.
I had to take mine out a couple months ago because pregnancy was making my nipples swell and the piercing was eating the jewelry.
