My midwife advised me that I should give birth in the labour ward at the RD&E instead of the MLU because of my BMI, but when I rang the MLU they said they would be happy to have me! Apparently they routinely admit women with BMIs of equal to or les than 35.

I'm glad I asked them instead of taking my midwifes advice as final because I would like a relaxed active birth with minimal intervention and want I use a birth pool - which is more likely to be possible at the MLU because of their superior facilities

Sounds good-my midwives are super keen on home births but we aren't so much. MLU is a compromise.
