So I took my pill for 21 days (as you are supposed to). I am currently taking Microgynon 30. However, I wanted to delay my period for an extra week so I took another 7 pills out of the next packet (so I took 28 pills in total) and went on my 7 day break, bled as normal. Then I resumed as normal, continuing a full 21 day course. I did this because I didn't want to run two packs together, I just wanted to delay the period by a week, not another 21 days. However I am concerned that this was the wrong thing to do and I should have just ran the 2 packs together? I spoke to a receptionist at my doctors surgery who said not to worry and that I should be fine. My friend also said that she has done the same as me like a million times before. But do any of you have any advice? Am I protected?
