Can you ovulate twice in three weeks?

So according to ovulation test and tracking my cycle and mucus I ovulated May 17th and af is due June first but yesterday the mucus was massive in amount and then today I had the stringy stuff like I am ovulating again I did the ovulation test yesterday and showed a lh surge. so confused any help or opinions on what's going on would be awesome.

Sometimes your body gears up for ovulation but doesn't, then does later in the cycle. It's nearly impossible to ovulate twice in one cycle, unless its two eggs at the same time. This is why bbt is useful, so you can see when you actually did ovulate!

Ovulation test pick up the surge, but don't detect if an egg was released. If it wasn't, then your body will naturally try again
