am I being lied to
Awhile back I was having a party at my place. My boyfriend gave my friend his number(unbeknownst to me)in case he needed something and could get ahold of me bc her and I were hanging out. So he tried to call me I didn't answer so he called her. And she played dumb and said "why is He calling me? I didn't know he had my number. Mitchell (her fiancé) must've given it to him". Well I read my boyfriends texts between her and him and that tells a different story. My question is why would she lie to me and two how do I politely ask her to tell me the truth?
Edit: everything my boyfriend told me about how they exchanged numbers all adds up. But they don't text they Snapchat. According to him they just bullshit like he would with one of his guy friends. Which is whatever I trust him. I no longer trust her bc she lied to me. What really bothers me is that he's defending her saying maybe she forgot or didn't want to upset me. And acts like it's okay that she lied!
Final edit: thank you everyone for responding and advice. It's given me a lot to think about. I told him how I felt and he offered to stop talking to her which made me feel better. He said he didn't make it seem like he was defending her he just wanted me to look at it from all views before flying off the handle (I have a habit of doing that) and said that he just didn't want to get in the middle of it and wants me to confront her about it. I said no I'm just going to distance myself from her and said the truth will come out eventually from someone. Thanks again!! 💕
