Hey girls! I have had my Mirena IUD for close to a year now. I usually receive a light period every month, but I didn't get anything this last month. 3 weeks into the following month (3 days ago) I started to spot. It has turned into a full force bleed. My abdomen hurts near my ovaries, I feel fatigued and light headed, my discharge prior to the period has smelled "off" if you will, and I have experienced a light stabbing pain in my cervix when entering a tampon. Should I get this checked out? I don't have insurance, and will have to wait hours upon hours at a hospital to receive free service to get this checked on, so I wanted to get another woman's opinion before taking a sick day at work to do this. Thank you!
