I'm 37 weeks & 50% effaced. How much longer do I have?

Question

I just had my cerclage removed that had tied my cervix shut to keep it from dilating. Once it was removed my doctor said I was 50% effaced but no dilation. Any ideas??

I was 1 cm and fully effaced at 37 weeks. I was still only 1 cm at 41 weeks. I went into active labor at 41 weeks on the dot,  but still only 1 cm at check in.  I went from 1 cm to 6 cm in less than an hour.
Even if u are fully effaced, it doesn't mean labor is near...it can be another week, two, three or even four.

Every woman is different but hopefully not too much longer! I was 1cm & 50% at 31 weeks when I had complications. Now 37w and 3cm/ 60%. Some women progress at faster rates, others slower. Hopefully neither of us go past due date! 🤞🏽
