TW for SA. Should the man have rights to the child?

If a man is charged and convicted with rape but the woman conceives a child, should the rapist have any paternal rights? This isn't an abortion topic! Just assume the woman does not get an abortion. Should he have rights to the baby? If the woman places the child with an adoptive family, should he still have to sign his rights away? Or should they be automatically taken away and he doesn't get to give permission for the adoption?

I was raped at 14.

First off: I didn't choose to be raped. Secondly: not only did you do something so incredibly horrific im now carrying your child and lastly: you RAPED ME! Did something forcibly. Sorry but you're no father to me. Just a sperm donor

However the area can become fuzzy in statuatory rape area, because sometimes it's "consensual" but because of ages it's like the younger can't consent... but NO the rapist doesn't get a say because he already ruined my life and abused my body.

He won't do that to MY child.

In some states, there are no laws protecting rape victims from their attackers having legal rights to the children. And even if it's statutory rape (I saw you ask someone else) I think the victim in the situation should get to decide whether or not the perpetrator can have rights.

Definitely not. Statutory rape is a little different though, it's a fuzzy subject. I know in Oklahoma a woman is automatically emancipated when she has a baby, so I think the woman should be able to pick if it was statutory rape, because that could of been her boyfriend at the time and just been under age of consent or been 17 and he was 21, because in Oklahoma age of consent is 16, but until 18 there can only be a three year age gap. Like a 16 year old can have sex with a 19 year old and be fine but the minute they turn 20 and the person is still 16 it's illegal. But as far as rape rape hell no!!
