Is Catherine ok for Cathy?

We are looking for a middle name for our third daughter, Juliette. My husband has an aunt that passed away as a child and we would love to honor her name in the family. Her name was Cathy Joann. However, I'm not a fan of Juliette Cathy and would prefer Juliette Catherine. Is that a fair substitute or am I completely buterching the idea of honoring her name?
