My rainbow baby is here!
Brantlee Bella was born March 3, 2015 at 3:15 am. I spiked a fever around 10:30 and her heart rate went up to 210. The doctor was the only one there and she didn't do a c section because there were two other people about to give birth also. They shut my epidural off at 11 because they didn't know if that's why I got a fever. The cord was wrapped around her neck. Unfortunately she wasn't breathing and had to be intubated and didn't get semi normal breath sounds until 6 minutes after. She didn't cry until 25 minutes after she was born. They didn't let me hold her until 45 minutes after she was born, and only for a short time because her heart rate was 180. She was put in the level 2 nursery with an IV and antibiotics for 48 hours. When they took her off the IV she couldn't regulate her sugar due to the stress she had at birth. Finally 6 days later we took her home. It was one of the happiest and scariest days of my life. She is doing well and I'm happy she's here!
