am I being to shallow?

Question

Going on a date tonight with a guy that's my height... I might actually appear taller cause I stand up straight and I'm thin....
One of my deal breakers has always been I wouldn't date a short guy......... 
but he seems really great, and he's super ambitious so I'm going to give it a try.. 
hopefully I can look past the height problem.... anyone else have a problem with height at first then got over it?

You can miss out on a lot of great guys if you judge them on their height. They can't help that!

Always. I'm 5"11, went on a few days with shorter guys because my friends always told me I was being too picky but it was just uncomfortable for me.  My husband is actually about an inch shorter than me and I always notice it but I liked him enough to not let it be an issue.

I wouldn't exactly call it shallow. I mean, you probably shouldn't be with a man if you're not attracted to him and if his height has something to do with that, then it is what it is.

That being said, if he's a good guy, I'd at least give him a chance. Sometimes a person's personality can shift the way you see him and it might not bother you. Only you can make that call.

I'm 6 inches taller than my fiance. Honestly couldn't imagine being with anyone tall now :D

I understand being a little hesitant at first but don't let that stop you from trying to get to know him... he might surprise you and one day you'll forget about this small trivial thing.

I feel like what if you met the love of your life but he was shorter would it really matter? Would you reject him for something he has no control over?

I'm 5'10 and my husband is 5'7. When we first started dating I was really insecure about it... but it doesn't bother me anymore. His good looks and amazing personality mean more to me than those three inches

My ex before my husband was 6'5. I'm 5't and I loved it. I had a serious thing for y'all guys. My husband is 5'5 just like me and at first I was hesitant to date me. So glad I didn't say' o' to him ☺️

Meeee!!! I am 5'9 my hubby is 5'7.5 and when I saw him I though he was handsome but I remember tellling myself 'I could never date him'. Well we started off as 'friends with benefits' because of my insecurity of being taller than him. It took me a year to get over it!!!! Now I don't think twice about it and sometimes wear hills.
