Reflux

Shell

Just got home from my daughter's doctor's office. We had to schedule an extra visit today because of what I suspected was reflux (I was correct.)

*She spits up every time she eats, even if she's been burped. She spits up and sometime vomits a lot when you lay her flat (changing diaper, sleeping, etc)

*The only way she can stay asleep is laying up right with her belly on my chest. She gasps or makes a "k" sound when laying down and sticks her tongue out with a nasty look on her face 😔

*She will randomly cough a few times and clear her throat.

*She whimpers before spitting up

*Occasionally she will unlatch from my breast, arch her back and cry until she's had a few minutes sitting in an upright position, then she will continue eating.

So our pediatrician prescribed Zantac, as well as continuing to try to keep her comfortable by keeping her upright, until her esophogus develops more.

Does anyone have any experience with an infant and Zantac? Or just experience with infant reflux? Any tips, tricks, helpful info?

Pic for attention 😘
