I only want to be induced of it id medically necessary. I've heard induction can make labor longer or worse. Also, where I'm delivering, if they use pitocin I'll have to be in the monitor in bed the entire time. No thanks. I wanna move!!! Lol

With my daughter (she's now 6), I was scheduled for an induction on Monday and starting contracting on my own on Saturday night, went to the hospital at 12:30a.m. and she was born on Sunday at 10:50 a.m. I had the epidural running and no pain at about 2:30a.m. and they had me hooked up with pitocin as well, I remember it as such a great experience, calm, happy, I even slept through the worst contractions. I looooved it! I just hope this delivery can equate to how good my first one was. I'm scared that they set up the bar so high and this new staff and hospital will mess it up for me! They seem so incompetent and crowded. 😢 that's the part that I'm most scared of, the hospital being so crowded that I miss my window for getting the epidural. I honestly loved the pitocin because it helped and with the epidural it was a breeze. I'm 39 weeks now and hope to have my precious baby in my arms very very soon, hopefully don't have to wait until 41 weeks. 😒

I was induced with both my children , first child because i was 2 week over due , labour lasted total 4 hours only . Second child due to gestational diebeties , baby had small tummy and was induced a week early, labour lasted 9 hours . I think induction was necessery with first baby as she was not coming and when she came she had very wrinkled skin like she been in bath to long .

I have had a natural (went into labor on my own) birth that was 15 hours and epidural free. And then a birth that went a full two weeks over and I had to be induced. The induced labor was 27 hours and SOOO much more painful. I ended up having to get an epidural after 25 hours of labor because my water had been broken for 24 hours and they said they had to prep me for a c-section. Luckily, I progressed and was ready to push shortly after the epidural and did not have to have the c-section. Unfortunately, this time... I am having to be induced early because of preeclampsia. I was so dissapointed when I heard I'd have to be on that awful pitocin again.
