Change of physicians

So, I had decided to change my physician because of my secondary coverage. My first appt with the new physician was today! I have history of placenta previa and preterm labor with my miscarriage... Now my other OB (which was new for me too because my old physician retired) didn't really see my previous issues as concern. The minute I discuss everything with this new physician today! She wants me to see a high risk doctor for a consult to check my cervix and placenta, AND return to her in two weeks! I'm 17wks today and I've lost a baby during my second trimester, they say signs of placenta previa is cramping and bleeding but she explained today that I wouldn't necessarily bleed Unless my cervix was dilated which makes sense as to why I was bleeding so much during my miscarriage and 1cm dilated the day I got admitted and woke up to so much blood! This other office didn't want to check my placenta until my 20week anatomy scan! Now This concerns me for other ladies! Do not stick with doctors for convenience especially if you've had complications!!! I am so filled with joy I have switched, if you dont have any questions she thinks of things to tell you ☺️
