Why does my toddler hate baths???

So my daughter absolutely loved baths until a few months ago. Now she screams bloody murder the whole time. We have no idea why :( Any ideas?

Did she may be slip in the tub or in the pool? Like maybe it gave her a good little scare?

Does she have any sensory issues? (Irritated by the feeling of certain clothing, scared of things with weird textures, or very sensitive to sounds)?
If not, maybe something just frightened her, like getting shampoo in her eyes or losing her balance or something.

My boyfriend used to scream bloody murder when he was made to take a bath as a kid.
His parent assumed he was just being fussy. Turned out he had very bad eczema and rosacea and the bathwater was literally torture for him.
Not sure if this is the case for your son. But wanted to mention it in case your son is actually in pain for whatever reason while taking a bath.

If not maybe try taking him shopping and letting him pick out bath related stuff for himself, like soap, towel or a bath toy. Maybe having him do so could make the bath seem more exciting for him.

Maybe she got startled by the water. My niece did the same her dad let the shower run ower her head and shw got scared but she is ok now.

My daughter just went through this. She went through 2 months of DESPISING baths and screaming the whole time, and then she just eventually got over it and now she's fine with them again. I used to just bathe with her because it was easier that way, so idk if she was irritated with that, but now I don't bath with her anymore and she's all good.

My daughter loves water! Baths, pools, puddles, rain, you name it. But when it gets in her face she freaks. We've recently started bubble bath, not every bath time but bubbles are her new obsession. Not sure if any of this is gonna help you, but figured I'd just say what works for us.

My kid is the same way. He was fine, but now he hates and screams. We tried all the water temperatures he requested (nothing too hot of course), but nothing works. 
My other one, now 8, was like that. He didn't like water in his face so we had him lay back and he liked that better. 
It may just be a phase.
