So I was scheduled for an Induction on Wednesday, May 24 2017 at 8pm. They start the process with cytotec. The baby didn't respond well and his heart rate dropped when I laid a certain way. So then they went ahead and started pitocin at 3am. Come that morning around 6am I was only dilated 1 cm. So as the day went on they upped the dose, around 3, 3:30 again the baby was not responding well when I laid in a certain position he heart rate would drop... so they stopped the whole induction process for the day!!!! At 8pm they inserted cervidil, and left it in until 6 am, well I was still only dilated to 2!! They restarted the pitocin at 7am on May 26th 2017. Up until about 9:30 baby was fine but his heart rate once again began to drop so they cut the dose in half. The doctor came in I was still at 2, he went ahead and broke my water. The contractions hit so quick and hard! 😩 I got the epidural around 11 am and was still 2cm! :/ so then around 1:30 his heart rate was so low all the nueses ran in and turned the pitocin off (finally dilated to 5), and the doctor wanted to do a c section. He was 45 mins away and so the nurses began to prep me. 15 mins later the nurse decided to check me one more time and I was FULLY dilated! So the on call doctor came in a said change of plans you're pushing! I began to push, and with the help of the vacuum my baby boy was born at 2:32pm weighing 7lbs 2 oz and 20in long! He's perfect and healthy! 😍💙
