I was told that both male and female babies have a "nub" at around 12-14 weeks and that girls can be just as swollen as boys. So it's really unreliable between those weeks. I've also heard that it depends on the angle of the "nub". If it's raised up its a boy and if it's more horizontal with the body it's a girl. But again, still unreliable.
