formula coming out of babies mouth, but it isn't spit up?

My son will be laying down and he'll have milk bubbling out of his mouth. It isn't him spitting up, it's like it just slowly is coming out of his mouth and he'll make little gurgling noises. It scares me and I'm worried he'll choke when I'm asleep. Is that normal?

He shouldn't be laying down drinking and he should lay down until you know he's swallowd everything.

Well yes that's why they have bibs and burping clothes. How old is he? If he's fairly new he's still learning and not drinking up the last bits of his formula. I'm sure he's ok. You would know if he were to choke and what to do very quickly. Make sure you wipe his mouth good after feeding. Oh wait does he fall asleep while drinking his milk lol sometimes they get lazy an not finish what they have in their mouths. Just a few tips on what I think to try and help.

My son does that as well. The doctor said he has acid reflux, that's why we don't lay him flat anymore. He can choke on it. He sleeps either in the nippy in his playpen or in an inclined bassinet.
