Finding out baby's sex, circumstances

Those who waited to find out baby's sex at birth, did you already have other children?  And we're you disappointed?  How long did the disappointment last?  I hear a lot of people telling me to wait already had one of each, so the third was a bonus either way. I have a son (found out his sex from the start), and am pregnant with #2. Trying to decide if I would be better off emotionally finding out ahead of time, or dealing with it at delivery. Thanks!
