Now what!?...

I just found out that I am diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I've read online and heard that it is very common in pregnancies and that I shouldn't be worried and it should disappear after the baby comes... but... I AM worried and what if it doesn't disappear!?? >< I'm so afraid of hurting my baby because I don't take very good care of my health. I could really use some advice right about now 😢

There is nothing you did to chose it. It just happens to some women. My aunt has 6 kids and the lest one is the only one she had it with. It will go away after baby is here. You and baby will be fine.

I had gestational diabetes with my daughter who has just turned one if its just diet controlled u will be given a book with foods to eat amounts its beat to eat many meals than not also you wil have to prick your finger 3times a day and check your blood sugar on a monitor that the hospital will give you its not that bad just inconvenience they will give you a book to write all your level in and a food diary with what your level were fasting and after food is consumed they will monitor you with specialized trained diabetic nurses as well as normal midwives and drs . Most of the time after you have baby they will get you todo another glucose test to make sure your back to normal and if you have get pregnant again they will get you to do an early glucose test in the 1st trimester to make sure your blood sugar is fine . I am currently pregnant with my 4th baby 6th pregnancy and i am yet to do my glucose test blaa its so hard with kids lol i will get there
