My parents divorced when I was 4 yrs old. I have 3 older siblings from the same parents. My dad remarried when I was 5 yrs old. He made my siblings and I call my step mom, "mom." He forced it on us kids saying if we didn't call our step mom, "mom," that we didn't love him. Is this wrong?

I'm remarried and my daughter hates her step dad. She told me she will never think of him as her dad or ever call him, "dad." Because of my past, I'm ok with this. What do you think?
