My stepdad recently brought home a pit bull puppy without discussing it with my mom. He says he got her because I wanted her, but I'm only at my mom's house for a couple months out of the year because I live with my dad. At first, they were great about taking care of her (mainly my mom) but she just got promoted at her work so instead of eight hour shifts, she works for 12 hours at a time. When she's at work, my stepdad doesn't take her outside to play or use the bathroom, so she has to use puppy pads. She's five months old and used to be completely potty trained, but now, even when my mom tries to take her outside, she won't use the bathroom because she's used to puppy pads. This puppy is full of energy but can't get it all out because she's stuck inside the house all day! I live on 12 acres of land with my dad and lots of other animals so she'll get all the attention and room she'll need. Are they abusing or neglecting her and should I take her home with me? They want to leave her at their house, but I don't think she's getting everything she needs.
