Blood Test

I have been feeling really off lately, (extremely tired, increased heart rate, uncomfortable feeling in my chest.) I confided this in the doctor I work with, and he ordered several blood tests including HCG. I had the tests done Friday, when I was 6 days post ovulation. The HCG test came back <2. Is there a chance I could still be pregnant? I have heard from some sources that your HCG count goes up right away. Others have told me that it takes 7-11 days for HCG to hit the bloodstream. My husband and I are TTC baby #1, and I'm hoping there is still hope for this month. Has anyone ever had a negative blood test and actually been pregnant? Thanks in advance!
