counting kicks?

When do I need to start counting kicks?? Her movements have been VERY noticeable since yesterday morning, so now I'm wondering when I should start counting the kicks and punches. For the past hour she's been punching me in the butt 😒

Exactly what Jodi said. My OB told me the goal is to not have to do kick counts. You only have to do them if you haven't felt movement in awhile..

28 weeks. And you really only need to count kicks if you haven't felt movement in awhile.

28 weeks..I know a couple people said they aren't necessary but knowing your baby's pattern can be very good. Doing counts every day can help if something goes wrong. If it's taking longer every day to get 10 kicks then you know something is probably not right. If you wait until you haven't felt movement in a while then it's
probably too far to do anything. My midwife told me that it's super important because it's the only way to monitor baby every single day and you collect that data so you can start to see a pattern. Just giving you another side of it!
