early signs of labour...

I'm 33 weeks with my first baby, I have experienced braxton hicks from around 27 weeks however tonight I feel like I am getting proper contractions.. they are coming and going and are more intense. I have a lot of discharge I'm not sure if this is normal? My maternity ward has told me to hold off another 2 hours to see if they have stopped , does this sound like labour
