Why????

Why does my 5 year old keep getting up at 3-4 am every single morning....she usually goes back to sleel around 5 but every morning she gets up. And take 2 hour or so to go back to bed? Why???? She never use to do this .....also it takes her a good 2 hours to go to bed when we put her to bed.

Try changing her bedtime until a little later.

At 5 she should be able to put herself back to sleep. Does she get up to use the bathroom? I mean as long as she's ok maybe tell her she needs to stay in her bed & go back to sleep?

My son did this for a long time.  It didn't matter what time I put him to bed he would be up for a couple hours in the muddle of the night.  He knew to stay inn his room and play and not bother anybody.  I always woke up when he woke up though.  It would also take him forever to go to sleep when I put him down for the night.  He has severe adhd that was diagnosed when he was 6.

I'm going to assume she goes to bed too early..because that's literally what's happening to me right now..I went to sleep at like 8pm and I'm awake now at 4:25 but it's just too early to be awake, it's not  even bright outside so I'm gunna force myself back to sleep
