Thoughts on waiting to have sex until marriage?

It's a personal choice, personally I absolutely believe DO have ax before you decide if you want to get married. Society wildly underplays the importance of sex in a relationship :( I was with a man who SUCKED in bed for 8 years. THAT ended in divorse because I just couldn't stand having him touch me anymore. Know what you're getting into bed with (pun intended). Sex is NATURAL and NORMAL and HEALTHY. I wish my parents hadn't raised me to believe it's "sin" and "impure". No creature in the universe shuns God's gift of sharing a thing that we as humans have been granted the intelligence to appreciate for its beauty. Abstaining "for God" is a sin if you ask me. "God" invented sex for procreation among ALL creatures! Why would only humans be punished/expected not to do it? THAT is a man-made concept/belief, NOT a God-made belief (God made SEX, MAN created abstinence.) eons ago, MAN used sex to control MAN. It is not supposed to be used as a means of control. If you make your choices based on man-made concepts, MAN controls your life, not God

I waited until I was engaged to the man God had for me. It was amazing. He even told me he wished he had waited for me. We have been married for 12yrs on tues 3/17. Still happy & I truly love him more now than I did then. Sometimes I wish I would have waited till our wedding night but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I definitely respect the choice, but it wasn't my choice. The first guy I was with was unable to keep an erection, so we had to try on several occasions before actually accomplishing the act. I think if we had been married, that might have ruined the moment a little.

I respect the choice and the sentiment behind it but It's not for everyone. I hate how some women judge others based on this choice one way or the other, to each their own I say. My personal opinion on it is that you should before marriage, like others said its actually a huge part of a relationship and the basic chemical attraction that you could never figure out without trying. Respect your body and the person you're with but I also feel like building it up as this huge thing could be a bit of a letdown for some and just end in constant disappointment with the experience...

I respect any couples choice to decide together to wait until marriage, but if a guy I was dating told me he wanted to wait until marriage I would have to end the relationship. I think it would be better than having a relationship with totally different values and needs. I would probably at least once try to pressure him into it when I was frustrated and I wouldn't want to do that. It also sets a precedence for the rest of the relationship and eventually where we saw eye to eye on child rearing and other relationship goals. I just don't think it could work out over all.
