Car Seat & stroller... I think a newer ? not the standard travel system.

I see many people recommend the Chicci car seat. Great it seems nice. But ? Is, why get the standard stroller day over the snap n go or the Chicco key fit?  This is my concern. My DD is now 14 but I had the standard graco travel system. Loved the infant carrier, but the stroller was massive!!!! Like 25-27 lbs. as soon as she grew out of carrier I got rid of the stroller and got a lighter one, say 12 lbs. was another graco that did have a tray and it was perfect. 

It looks like the Chicco combos, thecstrollers weigh about 18 lbs. do u find too heavy and go with something lighter as they outgrow carrier??
