So I'm sopost to start my  period here soon and this was on my pad is it blood or  something else I'm really confused... thanks for the help.

Yep, when you're on your period it can vary different colors depending on how old it is. That looks like a normal period. That's just old blood. It can also get brown but that's just old blood too. I had the same occurrence when I had my period so it's totally normal. Hope this helps☺️☺️😊😊
