nympho ? too much sex ?

I am a 17 year old girl and I have been with my 19 year old boyfriend for 3 months now.
Yesterday he said something that really surprised me.
He said that we dont need to have too much sex, basically said I want sex too much and that we dont only need that to spend time .. so he basically thinks I need sex or I cant spend time with him .. he said he knows im not like that but thats what it seemed like.
He said because he had a handful of girls before me that he doesnt really want sex as much ..
And he called me a nympho ..

I just need some advice , is it normal for a guy to feel that way ? Am I wrong ? & should I try to back off & just understand ?

Sex isn't a #1 priority or a vice for some guys.
It definitely isn't for my boyfriend. Sometimes, he just wants to hang out with me and play video games or watch a movie uninterrupted. 
He still has a very healthy sexual appetite, but he's in control of it. He also works 12-hour swing shifts and often winds up working 2-3 of his 4 days off, so he's often exhausted. I'm cool with it, it's nice to be with someone who isn't obsessed with sex. I have a pretty healthy sexual appetite myself, but I also like to just hang out and spend time together. That's why we've been together for 5 years in the first place, lol.

Sometimes, two people in a relationship can have sex drives that don't match up. 
Unless your sex drive is abnormally high, affects your daily life, and is uncontrollable, you are not a nymphomaniac. You simply have a higher sex drive than him.

Try to compromise, if it's too often for him try to be understanding the same way you want him to understand. Talk to him and he should be there to satisfy you. What I'm trying to say is, you go down a little and he goes up a little so you can meet each other half way (regarding to frequency). Try spending a little more time together doing activities (not sex related) and if it helps go out of the house. Not all guys have the same sex drive and they do sometimes tend to be satisfied faster/easier than women. I guess have a little patience and hopefully it works out. Maybe he can help you out without sex xp

You just have different sex drives which happens all the time in relationships. It doesn't make either of you bad people for having a higher or lower sex drive. If you want sex more than him though you do have to back off til he wants it too obviously and just please yourself or something in the meantime. While it's a common difference in relationships it can be hard to make work for some folks and sometimes it's just easier to be with someone with a similar sex drive.

I think the reason I want it so much is because of the fact that we dont see eachother as often , when we see eachother and we have the time I ask for it because well we have the time and we dont usually have the free time because of my family of course and our different schedules .
Ill try my best to understand and accept it .. Because I do love him and I love spending time with him
