I've been bedsharing with my son (8 months) the last month-ish. Almost every time he wakes up, he won't just rollover and go looking for the boob. He starts fussing and crying laying on his back and kicks his legs. He calms as soon as I actually sit up and hold him to nurse. Sometimes I can roll him over toward me on his side, but that doesn't always work without him getting mad and thrashing around. 😩 I'm sure there are times I'm half asleep and just don't remember for sure, so I'll give him credit there. Lol.

Idk maybe I need to lay a little closer to him?
