anyone else exclusively pumping and going to start introducing formula ?

I have exclusively pumped for the past 4 months and plan on going to 6 months . We had our 4month check up today and talked to the doctor about introducing a formula bottle once a day gradually increasing etc ..he gave me the go ahead and everything but part of me feels extremely guilty 😕 Pumping has been an absolutely miserable experience for me but after failing at breastfeeding I still wanted him to get breastmilk. I spend hours a day hooked up to this damn soul sucking machine even he hates it because he has to sit with me in the same spot for a half hour every 3 hours and he is a very active boy who wants to be up walking around looking at things. Don't even get me started on my nipples they are so sensitive I can't even sleep on my stomach . putting on a bra is even painful anything that touches them makes me flinch 😐 am I the only one suffering threw this ??
