Crushing...HELP.

OKAY. It is my first year of college...this semester I last minute signed up for an art history course. Long story short there's this guy that sits next to me..and ladies...he is EVERYTHING I look and ask for in a guy (so far!). He's TALL (I'm 5'10), handsome of course, EDUCATED....and an athlete. But what got me is how educated he is...he shocked me! Coming from high school I was used to seeing immature guys. But he's different. He takes his studies seriously and one day I began to talk to him before class and we ended up talking in SPANISH! He is white but he is fluent in Spanish...(I'm Mexican). I wanted to cry and tell god, "what more!!" Haha. I know I might sound too much but it's just refreshing seeing something new, I do like him but the ONLY thing is that he's a sophomore and is transferring to UCSC this fall (5 hours from here). So I didn't want to set myself up for heartbreak...falling for a guy that is transferring schools. I believe if it is meant to be it'll happen. But we are coming towards the end of the semester. I have his number but I'm too chicken to invite him for a coffee or study date. ANY ADVICE??? Please...lol I'd like to be good friends with him at least.
