"Virtuous Pedophile"
Okay so I just watched a documentary on YouTube called "Inside the Life of a Virtuous Pedophile." 
Basically this guy suffers from an attraction to children. He considers himself a virtuous pedophile because he has not and proclaims that he will not ever harm a child despite his attraction to them. He describes pedophilia as a sickness that he doesn't want to suffer from.

Because of his struggles and inability to control his attraction he has founded (along with another person) a website called VirPed, short for Virtuous Pedophile.
So supposably the website acts as a support group for other nonoffending pedophiles. It encourages people to seek help, be open and honest about their condition and remain non offending. It also serves as a place where people can talk to and relate to other nonoffending pedophiles.

My question is:
• is this group (and other groups like it) beneficial to those who don't want to be pedophiles or does it in a way "normalize" pedophilia in the sense of making members feel as if they're not that bad since so many other people are just like them?
• If it is beneficial, should there be more support groups like this?
